The global luxury brand business travel buyers specify by name
The buyer who specifies a luxury brand on the preferred-supplier list is buying confidence that the standard in Tokyo holds in Mumbai, and that the corporate rate in New York behaves the same way in São Paulo.
The Best Luxury Hotel Brand award, part of the Travelling for Business Awards 2026, recognises the global brand whose portfolio earns that confidence. It is judged at the brand level, not at the flagship, because the corporate buyer’s question is about the network, not the showpiece. The category sits alongside Best UK Hotel, which honours a single property, and Best Hotel Loyalty Programme, which assesses the brand’s earn-and-burn engine.
Eligible entrants are global luxury and ultra-luxury hotel brands operating a marketed corporate programme. Submissions are weighed against STR luxury segment data, industry benchmarks from GBTA, and the panel’s own usage across the network. Corporate programme strength, RFP performance, dynamic pricing behaviour, last-room-available delivery, is judged from the buyer-side, not the brand-marketing-side.
Suite product, food and beverage standards, and loyalty integration are all weighed; consistency across the portfolio is the single highest-weighted criterion. The award is editorially independent, coverage runs through Travelling for Business magazine and is not influenced by paid placements.
The 2026 panel includes corporate buyers and senior executives who specify luxury brands in policy. Sponsorship is available, see the sponsorship page.
Judges assess luxury brands across the portfolio, not at the flagship. Consistency from London to Tokyo, Paris to São Paulo, is the headline test, does the brand deliver the same standard in markets where consistency is hard? Corporate programme strength, RFP performance, dynamic pricing and last-room-available behaviour, is judged from the buyer side. Suite product, F&B quality and the service standard across the network sit in the middle of the assessment, while loyalty integration ties the experience to the long-term corporate relationship. The brand that wins is the one buyers specify by name on the preferred-supplier list.
