The ground transportation product that turns up - on time, in the right car, across the UK
The regional airports the major scheduled carriers feed, and the operator that wins this category is the one that delivers nationally on the same standards London takes for granted.
The Best Ground Transportation Company in the UK award is supported by Uber for Business, headline partner of the 2026 Travelling for Business Awards. The category recognises the operator that delivers – on time, in the right vehicle, with the right driver, every time, across the geography the corporate programme actually needs.
Eligible entrants are UK-licensed ground transport operators with a marketed corporate programme, including ride-hail platforms, chauffeur operators and executive car services. Judging examines coverage outside the M25, the booking and dispatch technology, driver standard, corporate billing and expense integration, and the duty-of-care layer including locate, trip tracking and incident response.
Fleet condition and the EV mix are weighted increasingly as corporate ESG policies tighten.
Data from Transport for London licensed operators, the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association and GBTA ground transport research informs the panel’s view.
The category sits alongside Best Ground Transportation Company in Europe, Best Ground Transportation Company in the Rest of the World and Best Car Rental Company. Editorial coverage of UK corporate ground transport runs through Travelling for Business magazine.
The 2026 judging panel includes UK-based corporate travel buyers. Single-sponsor opportunities are available – see sponsorship.
UK ground transportation is judged on national reliability, not just London performance. Coverage and availability outside the M25, in the cities and regions corporate programmes actually move people through, heads the criteria. The booking, dispatch and reliability technology, how the right car shows up at the right door at the right time, is weighed in detail. Driver and chauffeur standard, including training and vehicle presentation, matters. Corporate billing, expense integration and the duty-of-care layer, locate, trip tracking, incident response — are part of the score. Fleet condition and EV mix close the assessment for buyers with ESG-led policies.
