Outside UK and Europe, we are looking for the operator delivering a consistent corporate travel product globally
Local licensing, vehicle standards, driver training, payment systems and the basic safety position vary materially market by market, and the operator that can deliver a corporate-grade product consistently across that landscape is genuinely rare.
The corporate buyer in London or Frankfurt who needs reliable ground transport in São Paulo, Mumbai, Lagos and Singapore is asking the operator to absorb that complexity on their behalf.
The Best Ground Transportation Company in the Rest of the World award, part of the Travelling for Business Awards 2026, recognises the operator delivering that consistency. The category is supported by Uber for Business, headline partner of the 2026 awards.
Eligible entrants are operators with a credible international presence outside the UK and Europe and a marketed corporate programme.
Judging examines country coverage outside the home region, depth, not headline presence, the quality of the local operator network where service actually lives, the consistency of vehicle and driver standard, single global contracting and billing, technology and duty-of-care, and explicit safety standards in emerging markets.
International benchmarks from GBTA global research, the World Travel & Tourism Council and corporate buyer feedback inform the panel’s view alongside submitted evidence and reporting in Travelling for Business magazine. The category sits alongside Best Ground Transportation Company in the UK and Best Ground Transportation Company in Europe; global operators typically enter all three categories, each judged independently.
The 2026 judging panel includes buyers managing international ground transport programmes. Sponsorship is available on a single-sponsor basis, see the sponsorship page.
Outside the UK and Europe, ground transport is judged on the operator's ability to deliver a single, dependable corporate experience across very different markets. Country coverage outside the home region, depth, not just headline presence, heads the criteria. Local operator network quality, where the on-the-ground service actually lives, is weighed alongside the consistency of vehicle and driver standard. Single global contracting and billing matter because corporate buyers cannot manage country-by-country relationships at scale. Technology, dispatch and duty-of-care provision close the assessment, with explicit weight given to safety standards in emerging markets, a real corporate-programme requirement, not a marketing line.
