The British Airways Club Suite is a Finalist for Best Business Class Experience at the
2026 Travelling for Business Awards, and its nomination marks the payoff of the most consequential product decision the flag carrier has made in a generation. Replacing the dated yin-yang Club World layout, the Club Suite gave every passenger what the old cabin denied them: direct aisle access, a sliding privacy door and a seat that faces the right way.
The suite competes on substance. The bed is properly flat and generously padded, gate-to-gate entertainment plays on a large high-definition screen, and storage — the quiet test of a well-designed seat — is plentiful and sensibly placed. White Company bedding and amenities lend a domestic softness — a British touch frequent flyers namecheck — while the dining service has stepped up to match the furniture. Crucially, the experience is no longer a lottery: with the rollout now covering the overwhelming majority of the long-haul fleet and Heathrow completion in sight, booking Club World increasingly guarantees the suite rather than merely promising it.
The suite now flies on the A350s and refitted 777s and 787s, with the A380 fleet joining the programme next.
The surrounding journey is improving on the same schedule. The airline is planning a
major overhaul of its Heathrow lounges for 2026, part of a global lounge refresh already visible from Seattle to Singapore, and connectivity on board has taken a leap as
Starlink Wi-Fi takes flight across the fleet — fast enough for cloud work, and permissive enough that the airline will even allow phone calls. Avios earning through The British Airways Club, plus oneworld reciprocity, folds every Club Suite sector into a larger loyalty story.
What the nomination really recognises is transformation delivered at scale. Reinventing business class across one of the world's largest long-haul fleets, mid-operation, is aviation's equivalent of rebuilding the aircraft in flight — and the result has moved British Airways from apologising for its business class to advertising it.
Winners will be announced at the 2026 Travelling for Business Awards, and the Club Suite arrives as evidence that the home carrier's premium renaissance is real, and very nearly complete.
