The Cathay Pacific Aria Suite is a Finalist for Best Business Class Experience at the
2026 Travelling for Business Awards, and rarely has a cabin arrived with its reputation so quickly made. Unveiled as
a new way to experience air travel, the Aria Suite is the centrepiece of the Hong Kong carrier's sweeping cabin renewal — and the clearest signal that Cathay Pacific intends to reclaim its old place at the sharp end of premium flying.
The suite itself is an exercise in quiet luxury. A sliding privacy door encloses each passenger in a calm, timber-toned space; the bed is long and genuinely flat; storage is abundant without cluttering the sightlines; and a large 4K screen anchors an entertainment system built for bingeing and briefing alike. The aesthetic — muted greens, soft curves, warm light — extends the design language of the airline's celebrated lounges into the aircraft, so the journey reads as one continuous experience from The Pier to push-back. The industry has noticed: the cabin's design has been honoured with the
German Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award, rare double recognition for an airline seat, and an early signal of how the industry rates the newcomer.
Deployment has been brisk. The Aria Suite is spreading steadily through the 777-300ER fleet, with London treated as a priority market and Heathrow rotations progressively upgraded to the new cabin. By late summer 2026 both daily Heathrow rotations carry the new suite and the fleet count has passed eighteen aircraft. Dining completes the proposition, from champagne service to the Chinese Classics menus that bring Hong Kong's food culture on board — an identity most business cabins never manage.
Behind the product sits a company investing at scale in fleet, cabins and service training, and it shows in the details passengers actually touch: bedding, tableware, crew attentiveness, the pacing of a meal.
A place among the 2026 Finalists confirms what early passengers have been reporting since the first flights: the Aria Suite belongs in the conversation about the world's best business class, not merely its most improved. Winners will be announced at the 2026 Travelling for Business Awards, and Cathay Pacific's new flagship cabin will take some beating.
